Christopher Soelling is a full-time mediator and arbitrator. He practiced for 20 years as a construction, commercial, and real estate trial lawyer with Short, Cressman, & Burgess, PLLC, where he represented suppliers, subcontractors, general contractors, developers, private owners, and public entities in contract drafting, claim preparation, claim negotiation, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal.
Chris has mediated thousands of cases, from simple home remodeling disputes to multi-party claims involving bridges, water lines, condominiums, and office towers. He has also frequently served as an arbitrator and is a member of the construction and commercial arbitration panels of the American Arbitration Association. Chris also serves as chair of the King County Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, Secretary of the Washington State Bar Association Construction Section, member of the Master Mediator Panel of the American Arbitration Association, and is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer on legal ethics and construction and dispute resolution topics at conferences and continuing education programs.
